Arjuna is a medicinal tree that is easily found in India. It is also known by the names of Ghaval, Kakubha and Nadisarj etc. According to Ayurveda, it is beneficial in treating heart diseases. It is most commonly used for heart ailments including heart failure and chest pain. It is also used for diabetes, high cholesterol. The arjuna is one of the species whose leaves are fed on by the Antheraea paphia moth which produces the tassar silk, a wild silk of commercial importance.
